ABOUT
The Studio
Blue Waves Mastering was founded in 2021 in The Hague, Netherlands, inspired by a dream I had while starting my sound education back in 2008 in Chile.
My mission is simple: to provide an experienced second set of ears, supported by professional equipment and over 20 years in the entertainment industry.
My promise is to always go the extra 5% — those subtle touches that can make a real difference in your production.
My vision is to give the creative community a place where their projects are treated with both objectivity and genuine care, so artists can feel confident in the results.
Jonathan F. Salas Guerrero
I’m a Chilean sound technician with roots in the entertainment industry going back to the early 2000s. I started as a DJ, and in 2011 I began working on cruise ships, where I progressed through almost every technical position onboard: sound tech, light tech, broadcast tech, stage and production manager, and eventually head sound and light technician.
Before and while studying, I worked in Chile for a few years, but my dream was always to explore the world—other cultures, other sounds. In November 2011, I received my first cruise ship offer, and in September 2025, I finally stepped off to focus fully on my passion: mastering in my own studio.
Ship by ship, country by country, culture by culture, I’ve worked with countless performers: headliners, tribute bands, rock-themed charters, production shows, and more recently, large-scale musical theater productions.
Since 2019, I’ve been thrilled to serve as Audio 1 on major shows such as We Will Rock You, Mamma Mia!, GREASE, and Back To The Future onboard some of the world’s largest ships — mixing over 25 performers (singers, dancers, actors), up to a 16-piece orchestra, tracks, and a conductor.
In recent years, I’ve also been recording multitrack sessions of live performances and mixing them in the studio. Through this process, I discovered how much I love recording, live mixing, studio mixing, and mastering.
I personally invite you to trust my ears—and all those adventurous years traveling the world at sea — so together we can bring more music into the world.
