Blue Waves Mastering Studio was born in Chile in 2008 and finally came to life in the Netherlands in 2021.
With over 20 years of experience in live mixing, I’ve worked across a wide range of musical styles—from rock and pop to ballads, 70s funk, and 80s music. This includes full productions with 9-piece bands and 5-piece horn sections mixing large-scale productions at a Broadway and West End level.
Since 2018, I’ve also been recording multitrack sessions while live mixing headline artists with full 10-piece orchestras during their performances.
This background directly shapes the way I approach mastering. Working in live environments has trained my ears to focus on balance, dynamics, and — most importantly — translation. It’s not just about how a track sounds in the studio, but how it feels across real-world listening systems.
At the end of 2020, I expanded my focus into mastering, what is one of the most overlooked, yet essential stages in the audio chain.
I currently work fully in the box, with plans to gradually integrate outboard gear as the studio continues to grow.
Today, I offer an experienced and honest second set of ears, helping artists and engineers bring their music to a final, release-ready level—without losing the character and emotion that make it unique.
