Mastering music with dynamics, character and feeling.

For artists and musicians who care about the performance as much as the sound of their records.

Selected work on BWM

A selection of mixing and mastering work from live performances and multi-track productions.

Each project presents a different challenge; from tonal balance and low-end control to dynamics, arrangement and consistency between tracks.

The main focus was opening up the midrange to give the vocals greater presence, while adding more air to the top end and maintaining control of the low-end energy in the stereo field.

Processing focus: Midrange clarity · Vocal presence · High-frequency openness · Low-end control

Part of the same project as the previous track, the main objective was to maintain consistency between the two songs, with particular attention to their tonal balance and overall sonic character.

Processing focus: Tonal balance · Track-to-track consistency · Sonic continuity

The main focus was controlling the low-frequency energy while bringing more clarity and presence to the vocal range. Particular attention was given to preserving the movement and dynamics of the arrangement.

Processing focus: Low-end control · Vocal clarity · Dynamics · Arrangement

The first impression in the studio was that the guitars needed more presence and definition, while the toms benefited from greater clarity in the upper frequencies. These elements became the main focus of the mastering process.

More work

Every record has its own character.

I approach mixing and mastering by listening to the music as a whole — its dynamics, arrangement, instrumentation and performance. The goal isn’t to force every production into the same sound, but to help each record become the best version of itself while preserving what makes it unique

I believe mixing and mastering should serve the music, not the other way around.

Every performance has its own dynamics, arrangement, instrumentation and energy to be respected and enhanced.

From the dynamics of a live orchestra’s performances to an arrangement that moves through different tempos and sections, I pay attention to how the music evolves; not just how individual frequencies look on a screen and preserving what makes it unique.

The goal is simple: a record that feels musical, translates naturally across listening systems, and still sounds like itself.

From live performances to the Studio

For more than 15 years, I worked professionally in live audio, mixing shows and musical productions where every decision had to happen in real time.

I’ve worked with Broadway and West End productions, full bands, orchestras, singers and dancers, as well as complex live performances requiring detailed mixing and monitoring.

That experience taught me to listen to music as a complete performance; to understand dynamics, arrangement, balance and energy, rather than treating every instrument in isolation.

Today, I bring that same way of listening into the studio, working with artists and producers to shape their music from multitrack sessions through mixing and mastering.

SERVICES

The final stage of the creative process deserves the same musical attention as every other part of the production.

I approach mastering with a focus on musicality, dynamics, tonal balance and translation; preserving the character and energy of the music while making sure it translates confidently across different listening environments.

Whether it’s a live performance, a full-band production, an orchestral recording or a carefully crafted studio session, every record has its own character. My goal is not to force your music into a predefined sound, but to understand what makes it work and bring that forward in the final master.

When working from multi-tracks, I bring my experience as a live and production sound engineer into the studio. I pay particular attention to arrangement, dynamics, balance and the relationship between instruments, creating a mix that feels musical, coherent and ready for the final stage.

For projects where I can work from the multi-tracks through to the final master, I can take care of the complete process; from the individual tracks and arrangement through mixing and final mastering.

This allows me to approach the production as a whole, while keeping the musical intention consistent from the first mix decision to the final master.

Every project is different. Let’s talk about your music and find the right approach for it.
